I'm Anil Kumar Hotta — a CA Intermediate student pursuing Chartered Accountancy under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). I've also graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Khallikote Unitary University, Brahmapur.
Outside the ledger, I work as an AI-assisted web developer and graphic designer, and I follow finance, artificial intelligence and geopolitics closely — I like understanding how systems, markets and technology actually move.
Mathematics has been a constant thread through my life — from winning school-level scholarship exams like PMSTS to applying that same analytical discipline to accounting, taxation, audit and financial management today. I also hold a certified typing speed of 80+ WPM, placing me in the top 5% of typists worldwide.

Schooling through commerce to Chartered Accountancy — each stage building on the last.
Schooling from Kindergarten through +2 Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Electronics, English, Sanskrit) — Class 10th under BSE Odisha, +2 under CHSE Odisha, scoring an average of about 92% in both board exams. Won multiple scholarship awards for academic excellence, notably in Mathematics (PMSTS), and was consistently recognised for mathematics ability. Took part in School Parade, Drawing, Debate, Essay Writing, and cultural and academic events; won an inter-school science quiz and a school science exhibition.
Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) — the switch from science to commerce, building the foundation for a career in finance and accountancy. Graduated with a CGPA of 8.63. As my final-year project, I researched and wrote "Financial Performance Analysis of Selected Income Taxpayers (Businessmen) of Brahmapur City," analysing the financial performance and tax compliance behaviour of seven Brahmapur businesses.
Pursuing Chartered Accountancy, currently at the CA Intermediate stage. Scored 256 out of 400 in CA Foundation, including 92 marks in Paper 3 (Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Statistics), and 173 out of 300 in Group 2 of CA Intermediate, including 79 marks in Cost & Management Accounting. Built working knowledge of Accounting, Taxation (Income Tax, GST), Financial Management, Audit, and Corporate Law, and attended conferences hosted by ICAI.

My B.Com (Hons) final-year research project at Khallikote Unitary University, guided by Dr. Annapurna Sahoo, Head of the Department of Commerce.
The study examines the financial performance and tax compliance behaviour of seven businesses across Brahmapur — spanning retail, manufacturing, FMCG trading, and services — over three financial years (2022–23 to 2024–25). Using ratio analysis, trend analysis, cash flow analysis, and correlation analysis on real profit & loss accounts and balance sheets, it evaluates profitability, liquidity, solvency, and how business structure shapes tax reporting.
A key finding: sales and net profit show an exceptionally strong positive correlation (above 0.99) across all three years, while service and retail businesses consistently posted higher margins than volume-driven manufacturing and trading units.
